Grab the kids and head out and around Kamloops for lots of fun family activities! Kamloops has many beautiful parks to enjoy, and plenty of lakes and campgrounds within easy driving distance.

The BC Wildlife Park located east of Kamloops, is a popular year-round attraction. The Summer months see the park open daily, and Winter months find the park open on weekends, as well as evenings during the Christmas Season for the spectacular Wildlights exhibit.

Skiing is a loved sport in the Kamloops area, with two excellent mountains nearby. Harper Mountain is only a twenty minute drive from the city, and well-known as an affordable mountain with a welcoming, family atmosphere. Sun Peaks Resort is about forty minutes away, and is a world class, four season resort offering top notch accommodations and a wide range of activities.

Indoor entertainment in Kamloops includes movie theatres, bowling alleys, and family game centres like Ruckers and Fun Factor. You can also enjoy gymnastics or swimming at the Tournament Capital Centre and at other city facilities.

Canada Day celebrations are enjoyed at Riverside Park with the annual Art in the Park activities. These include multicultural displays, arts and crafts, performances, attractions for the kids, and end with a fireworks display around 10pm.
