Opening Late Spring 2010 in Kamloops, British Columbia
Sedric's 17 Acre Premier Water Park will be the focal point of the 45 acre resort development along Highway #5 near downtown Kamloops. The spectacular water park will be flanked by an 800-1000 capacity convention centre and a 2500-3000 capacity multiplex with retractable roof. The resort and theme park will be completed over the next five years, with Sedric's Aquatic Adventure scheduled to open in late Spring of 2010.
Accommodations will include a 300 room hotel, a 100-150 room value-added hotel, and even student housing capable of accommodating up to 200 Thompson Rivers University students. In addition to restaurants attached to the hotels, the site will also include two drive-thru restaurants.
Sedric's Adventure aims to make a positive impact on the community. Eco-friendly plans include an agreement between Terasen and Sedric's to develop energy from solar and geo-thermal sources. 1000-1500 jobs will be available at the resort during high season. With an anticipated 455,000 guests visiting the resort annually, developers are predicting Sedric's Adventure will bring an annual influx of $80 Million to the city of Kamloops.
